In a significant diplomatic move, Tarique Rahman, the acting chairman of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), has received an official invitation to visit China from the Chinese Communist Party (CPC). This comes after a high-level delegation led by BNP Secretary-General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir visited China in June. During their trip, they engaged with key political figures, including Chinese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sun Weidong, and others, strengthening the political ties between China and BNP. The upcoming visit is expected to have strategic implications for Bangladesh’s foreign relations, economic cooperation, and geopolitical positioning.
