China's air force is using an AI-enabled "intelligent strike planning system" to coordinate battle plans involving more than 100 tactical units, according to a state television documentary aired on CCTV. Developed by a team led by Senior Colonel Deng Jianping, the system prioritizes targets, coordinates attack waves, and allocates tasks across aircraft, drones, and missiles, and has reportedly already been used in multiple training exercises. Chinese military experts say the technology reflects the PLA's broader shift from platform-centered operations toward AI-enabled "system-of-systems" warfare, as Beijing accelerates efforts to integrate emerging technology ahead of the military's 2027 centenary modernization goals.
