গত বৃহস্পতিবার (ডিসেম্বর ১৮) সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় ভাইরাল এক ভিডিওতে দেখা যায় একজন যুবককে হ ত্যা করে গাছের সাথে ঝুলিয়ে আ গুন লাগিয়ে দিচ্ছে কিছু অমা নুষ। আর এই নৃশংস কাজ দাড়িয়ে দাড়িয়ে দেখছে উৎসুক জনতা।

হত্যা করা যুবকের নাম দিপু চন্দ্র দাস (২৭) তিনি ময়মনসিংহ জেলার তারাকান্দা উপজেলার বানিহালা ইউনিয়নের মোকামিয়াকান্দা গ্রামের রবি চন্দ্র দাসের ছেলে। দিপু কাজ করতেন ময়মনসিংহের জামিরদিয়া ডুবালিয়াপাড়া এলাকার পাইওনিয়ার নিটওয়্যারস (বিডি) লিমিটেড নামে একটি পোশাক কারখানায়৷

সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় ভাইরাল এই নৃশংস ভিডিওর ভাষ্য অনুযায়ী দিপু মহানবী হযরত মোহাম্মদ (সা.) সম্পর্কে কটূক্তি করেছেন। কিন্তু কোথায় কিভাবে কটুক্তি করেছেন তার কোন কিছুই পাওয়া যায়নি।

সংবাদমাধ্যম দৈনিক আমার দেশের এক প্রতিবেদনে বলা হয় দিপুকে হত্যা করা হয় ব্যক্তিগত বিরোধ ও শ্রমিক অধিকার আন্দোলনকে ধর্মীয় উসকানির রূপ দিয়ে।

পরিবারের ভাষ্য অনুযায়ী এটি হঠাৎ কোনো উত্তেজিত জনতার ঘটনা নয়; বরং পরিকল্পিতভাবে ধর্ম অবমাননার অভিযোগ তৈরি করে দিপুকে হত্যার দিকে ঠেলে দেওয়া হয়েছে।

সংবাদমাধ্যমটি জানায় দিপু চন্দ্র দাস দীর্ঘদিন ধরে কারখানায় শ্রমিকদের ন্যায্য দাবি আদায়ে সোচ্চার ছিলেন। উৎপাদন বাড়ানো, ওভারটাইম, কাজের পরিবেশ ও শ্রমিকদের সুযোগ-সুবিধা নিয়ে তিনি কর্তৃপক্ষের সঙ্গে কথা বলতেন। এতে মালিকপক্ষের সঙ্গে তার বিরোধ তৈরি হয়। অভিযোগ রয়েছে, এ কারণেই তাকে দীর্ঘদিন পদোন্নতি থেকে বঞ্চিত রাখা হয়। একপর্যায়ে কারখানা থেকে বের করে দেওয়ার ষড়যন্ত্র শুরু হয়।

নিহতের পরিবার জানায়, গত ১৮ ডিসেম্বর রাতে দিপুকে জোরপূর্বক চাকরি ছাড়তে চাপ দেওয়া হয়। এতে রাজি না হওয়ায় তাকে ধর্ম অবমাননার ঘটনায় ফাঁসানোর হুমকি দেওয়া হয়। পরে ওই হুমকিই বাস্তবায়ন করা হয়।

জানা গেছে, ঘটনার দিন কারখানার ভেতরে দিপুকে হুমকি ও মারধর করা হয়। এরপর কর্তৃপক্ষের সঙ্গে সংশ্লিষ্ট একটি চক্র বাইরে আগে থেকেই প্রস্তুত থাকা লোকজনকে খবর দেয়। কিছুক্ষণের মধ্যেই কারখানার সামনে স্লোগান দিয়ে দিলুকে গণপিটুনি দিয়ে হত্যা করা হয়।

সিসিটিভি ফুটেজ পর্যালোচনায় দেখা যায়, যাদের ‘বিক্ষুব্ধ মুসলিম জনতা’ হিসেবে উপস্থাপন করা হয়েছে, তাদের কেউই ঘটনাস্থলের আশপাশের বাসিন্দা নন।

র‌্যাব-১৪-এর অভিযানে গ্রেপ্তারদের মধ্যে রয়েছেন মাদারীপুরের শিবচর উপজেলার বাহাদুরপুর গ্রামের আলমগীর হোসেন (৩৮), ঝালকাঠির পোনাবালিয়া গ্রামের মিরাজ হোসেন আকন (৪৬), গাইবান্ধার সাঘাটা উপজেলার তারেক হোসেন (১৯) ও এরশাদ আলী (৩৯), কুড়িগ্রামের ফুলবাড়ী উপজেলার লিমন সরকার (১৯) এবং সুনামগঞ্জের ধোয়ারা গ্রামের নিজুম উদ্দিন (২০)।

অপরদিকে জেলা গোয়েন্দা পুলিশের অভিযানে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়েছে ময়মনসিংহের ভালুকা উপজেলার আজমল হাসান সগীর (২৬) ও শাহিন মিয়া (১৯) এবং ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়ার নাজমুলকে (২১)। গ্রেপ্তারের তালিকা বিশ্লেষণে দেখা যায়, হত্যাকাণ্ডে সরাসরি যুক্তদের বড় অংশই ময়মনসিংহের বাইরের জেলার।

র‌্যাব-১৪ এর পরিচালক নাইমুল হাসান জানান পোশাক শ্রমিক দিপু চন্দ্র দাসকে হত্যার আগে চাকরি থেকে ইস্তফা দিতে বাধ্য করেন কারখানার ফ্লোর ম্যানেজার। এরপর তাকে উত্তেজিত জনতার হাতে তুলে দেওয়া হয়।
